(“CFP Board”) owns the CFP® certification mark, the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification mark, and the CFP® certification mark (with flame design) logo in the United States (these marks are collectively referred to as the “CFP® marks”). The CFP Board authorizes use of the CFP® marks by individuals who successfully complete the CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements. To earn the right to use the CFP® marks, an individual must currently fulfill specific requirements in the areas of education, examination, experience, and ethics. Individuals who become certified must complete ongoing education, ethics, and certification requirements in order to maintain the right to continue to use the CFP® marks.
